1981 upper control arm bushings
« on: December 01, 2015, 08:39:43 PM »
So I am getting ready to get the front end of my '81 back together, I bought the upper control arm bushings from Napa, the front ones seem like they will fit no problem, the rears on the other hand were just a tad too small.  They just dropped in, no press needed.  So I took them back and we looked up ones for up to '79 and they were smaller.  I have been trying to search for a moog part number but looks like they have been discontinued.  I looked at rockauto, they have some ACDELCO parts but they want over $50 to ship 2 lousy bushing to canada.  Does anyone here know where I can get these bushings?

If you have the part number from RockAuto you can usually get the same from amazon.  I know RockAuto is a sponsor but sometimes the shipping kills the deal.

They probably made those bushings in Canada.

If they are still avail at the dealer, I'll pick them up for you, you can get them at Duggans, at the UFB Xmas party, or send them to my house for pick up.

Thanks for the offer Burd and Mongo.  I may take you up on this, I'm going to search around here a bit more first.

So I was able to find some ACDELCO bushings here, I ordered 2 online, got them today, and they sent me 3.  Good thing, cause 2 fit and 1 is slightly undersized.  I just seem to get 2 steps ahead and 1 step back.
