That for some sort of light.  The white wire is switched ground, i.e. it grounds when you open the door or turn the headlight switch.  The orange wire is always hot.  Check it with a volt meter.  That could be for the kick panel courtesy lights.  But I'm at T/A guy and don't know the wiring on Camaro's.

theres a light in the back of the console, the wire isn't that long, were thinkin his car wasn't a console car, it has to be connected to the door lights some how.

Do both the "yellow and white" and the "orange and white" go to the same spot on the light or are they separate? Does the the "orange and white" have a plug too or where does it go? What are the colors of the wires going to the plug in your second pic?

does it have the courtesy lights option? the lights under the dash that light up the floor? I am 75% sure the connector for that plugs into that....

If the car came with that console, there would be a provision for that plug under the dash or under the carpet. If not and there's no specific provision for it there, you can splice it into the courtesy or dome light wires. On almost all of the early GM vehicles, the orange wire is a constant 12V and the white is the negative, which is controlled by the door pin switches and the dome light switch on the dash. Your dome light wires and floorboard lights, if the car has them, will have an orange and white wire powering them. But, any orange wire under the dash should be a constant 12V and you'll just need to run a wire from the white wire of your pin switches.

I'm thinking his car didn't have the Console, there were no mounts for it. We found a set at the junkyard and they were spot welded on the tunnel. He want to keep the console, I like it better without, but it's his car. Lol. We got he mounts and the console lock button that day at Warhoops salvage yard. Now that yard is gone, all the cars crushed.
