Old Garbage Can resto
« on: April 28, 2015, 10:04:25 AM »
I picked tis old Garbage Can up for free, I have a thread posted to donate or sell me some retro stickers/decals.  I'm going to sand it down and do some bump work on it the put some retro decals on it. I'm not sure how old it is but I cant believe how  thick the steel is.

No, Ive been so Busy   Its ready to sand. the top was bent over to one side,  it looked like it took a hard hit at some time.  It's prob from the 50's. I used a DeadBlow Hamhock to fix it. The door works good now, now just to D/A it and prime it.

I think I decided on a do blue, kinda like a AC Delco blue, I have some thin sheet magnet material, I think I'll mount all the decals on it so I can move them around.  It's crazy how things were made of thick steel years ago.  Now everything is plastic.
