How do you fix those?
Isn't there a plastic type coating on them?

Havent done one yet so Im not too sure. I would suppose sand it off, fix the corrosion and then reapply the clear coat. Either that or leave it off so it wont do that again.

it has a clear coat on it and they had a reaction so the moisture got under the clear coat and started to corrode, have to be stripped

Heres a few pics of one of a customers wheels I am refinishing . This is wheel #4. Wheels 1, 2 and 3 are already sanded to 500.

Before

After cleaning and paint removal

After a little 220 grit. Spoke on the right has not been done yet

After 500 grit

After 1000 and initial polish

Each wheels gets sanded three separate times. All sanding is done by hand.  For the initial polish I use a polishing pad and an angle die grinder.

Three of the four ready for paint.

Taped

Etched primed

First set I have done that are not Gold. One down, three to go.....

Very nice job ... so you only do the face of the wheel? I have seen some on ebay where they do the entire wheel!
