Masking is a PITA.  I've done it to a couple sets of wheels.  I put the tape on then trim it with a blade.  That work is labor intensive.

I may have missed it, but what do you use to polish, what do you use to strip off the paint, and what's the process once its stripped down and ready to work back up? I've gotta do my wheels and am curious. What paint do you use?

No no no.....don't "Sand" blast...its too harsh.....use the .008 fine fiber glass bead.....its removes the paint and does not chew away the rubber endura .....

Don't ask me how I learned this.......  ???
