I'm a little late replying to this but the '78-'79 fake ram air duct caused '78 -'81 Camaro hoods to have a slightly different bottom piece. the '78 to '79 Z28 had a section of hood skin cut out to accommodate the lower ram air portion of the scoop. When putting it on a '77 and older, you might need to do some additional mods. The intake portion of it can be cut out as well to create a functional scoop, and there was a article in one of the hot rod mags back in the day on how to do it that I know I have seen online somewhere.
My base coupe came from a seller who included an '80/'81 rear spoiler and air induction scoop. I've held onto the scoop for future projects and hope to make a functional hood with it myself.
