Camel Package Tray Swap Out
« on: January 04, 2021, 09:27:06 AM »
Iíve had this camel package tray I got from reaper laying around, I feel like a winter project on the TA, so Iím going to swap out the one I have in, itís camel, but it has camel dye on it, back when I did it like 20 years ago, they didnít make the correct camel, I ended up getting one from CARS Inc for a Camaro, it was Gold and had it sprayed, the dye was a little shiny, itís the correct cardboard, not the mesh type that started in 1979, some guys put these in, but I like to see the speaker grill, now I gotta find that post on what the correct pattern for SINGLE speaker hole looks like.  More to follow.
Iíll post pics of the speaker, hole, speaker enclosure, and the jute under the tray.

Gonna be difficult to cut that speaker hole out because there is a thin strip in the middle.  I have a 12K mile 78 TA at my shop with a single speaker.  I will text you a photo of it.  Car is like new but sold in a day.

I still have my orig pkg tray, it does have the strip cut out, but I think thereís enough there to replicate the 2Dís.   Another pic would be great.
Top pic, you can see the contact cement from the factory that was sprayed on
