So here is a quick story about Butler Performance.

I ordered one of their drop bases to make my shaker scoop work with the new intake/carb on my engine.  Well I was dicking around with throttle cable brackets and return springs last night and figured I should toss the drop base on the carb to make sure I will not have any clearance issues with the return springs or brackets.   Well the damn thing didn't fit my carb, it was hitting the float adjust screws and it wouldnt sit flush on the top of the carb.

So I sent them an e-mail this morning explaining the situation. I guess they never put one of these bases on a Holley 950 Ultra XP before (i think they fit the HP though)

So anyhow, they called me this afternoon and already had a new part mocked up that will work with the carb and will be sending a new one out soon.

Can't beat that.

They shipped the new part today, sent me the tracking number this afternoon.  As it turns out, they said the XP carb is a little bit longer than the others.
